Mentoring Programme

We are developing our member Mentoring Programme and are looking for mentors and mentees that are Auckland based to participate in the six-month pilot programme (with the option to continue their mentoring relationship a further six months).

The purpose of the mentoring programme is to provide the opportunity for growth and development of mentors, mentees and the internal audit profession.

Whether you are looking for a mentor, or want to become a mentor, the benefits are great.
From improving your impact with others at all levels, gaining new perspectives and the transferring of knowledge, to expanding your network, professional development, and improving leadership skills, the mentoring helps both mentees and mentors to be more effective professionals and leaders.

You will be supported by a hosted introductory event, templates to get you started, and regular tips.

As a pilot programme participant, you will provide regular feedback so that the programme can be enhanced.

How to apply

The requirements for both mentors and mentees are set out in the below Mentoring Programme Charter.
The completed Mentoring Agreement and Mentoring Application Form (both below) are to be emailed to admin@iianz.org.nz

You must be a member of IIA NZ to participate in the mentoring programme.

The application closing date has been extended to 12 November.
Applications will then be reviewed and you may be contacted for a phone or video interview to assist with matching. Applicants will be responded to on 22 November.

Those selected for the programme will be invited to a launch event (to be held virtually) on 30 November. Once restrictions allow, we will host an in-person event. Following the launch event, mentors and mentees can start building their mentoring relationship.
