Auditing Cloud - Online Classroom

As organisations embrace Cloud services to streamline ICT services, they are challenged with balancing Cloud risks vs. efficiency. This training course provides participants with a deeper understanding of Cloud related designs, risks and controls, while exploring the connection between cyber security and the Cloud environment and the practical approaches to audit the Cloud.

Key areas to be covered:
  • Assessing the risks in using the Cloud - Do you know what you are getting and where your data is?
  • Overview of Cloud related standards, guidance and legislation
  • Implementing configuration, identity and access governance
  • Ensuring effective program management of Cloud services
  • Key governance and controls for the Cloud environment
  • Getting the contracts and SLA arrangements right
  • Practical tools to map Cloud interactions across your ICT network
Learning Outcomes

At the end of the training course, the participant will be able to:
  • Developing an understanding of critical risks in the Cloud environment
  • How to apply IIA standards and guidance in developing your Cloud audit plan
  • Awareness of privacy and other legislative requirements
  • Insights into methodologies to develop and test key Cloud controls
  • Building a framework to map the risk implications
  • Understanding the process to audit third parties
  • Strategies for working with IT and the business in managing Cloud risk

Online Classroom: This training program will be delivered in 3-hour lessons (10:30 am - 01:30 pm AEST) over two days on 26 and 27 September using Zoom.
Registrations will be strictly limited to 12 participants to allow maximum interaction in the online environment.
