How to get the most from low cost tools

TechTalks are 60 minute sessions conducted over the Zoom Meeting Platform. TechTalks will focus on practical approaches to internal audits of various kinds as well as the application of current assurance strategies and methodolgies.

Our data mining session will cover:

• Understanding the capabilities of using free or low-cost tools for each of the data mining phases of data analytics
• How to get the most out of data analytics when working with limited resource
• What are the essentials of the data mining process to ensure success?
• What analysis methods are available to make sense of the data
• Getting quality results from data analytics basics

Sean is passionate about data analytics and has approximately 20 years of experience in the use of data analytic toolsets in an audit context. He has a current interest in how to integrate data analytics into assurance activities both inside internal audit and the boarder corporate environment. Sean is currently the Director, Assurance and Advisory Services with the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
