IIA NZ CAE Bank Roundtable

The IIA New Zealand (IIA NZ) CAE Bank Roundtable is a closed, members-only online forum designed specifically for internal audit leaders and senior practitioners working within New Zealand's financial institutions.

Purpose

This Roundtable provides a trusted, confidential space for peer connection, mentorship, and informed discussion. It is intended to support participants to share learnings, explore common challenges, and strengthen capability across the financial services internal audit community.

Who it's for

This Roundtable is suitable for IIA NZ members who work in internal audit roles within New Zealand financial institutions, including:

• Chief Audit Executives (CAEs) / Heads of Internal Audit
• Senior internal auditors and internal audit leaders

Registrations are by invitation to eligible IIA NZ members working in New Zealand financial institutions.

Format and facilitation

• Delivery: Online
• Administration and facilitation: IIA NZ and an IIA NZ nominated facilitator
• Style: Facilitator- and member-led discussion and peer mentoring, supported by IIA NZ to ensure a constructive and professional environment

Confidentiality and participation expectations

This is a closed Roundtable to encourage open and practical discussion. Participants are expected to respect confidentiality, and the Chatham House Rule applies.

Event summary:

Join fellow banking Chief Audit Executives and senior internal audit leaders for the first CAE Bank Roundtable session of 2026. This online kick-off will be networking-focused, providing space for introductions, relationship-building, and a neutral discussion to gauge interest, needs, and aspirations for the Roundtable. Participants will help shape the purpose, preferred format, and priority themes for upcoming sessions, ensuring the Roundtable delivers practical value across the banking internal audit community nationwide and the Pacific.
