This event will focus on the public sector, specifically the anti-corruption ecosystem in New Zealand. It will include the launch of the first part of the National Integrity System Assessment, looking at the effectiveness of core anti-corruption functions of government in preventing, detecting and prosecuting corruption (Simon Chapple is the researcher). TINZ will launch research produced in support of its National Integrity System Assessment. Simon Chapple will talk about his assessment of the effectiveness of anticorruption institutions in New Zealand in deterring, detecting and exposing corruption.
Andrew McConnell, Deputy Auditor-General will lead a panel discussion on the New Zealand anti-corruption ecosystem, with Dan Eaton (SFO) and senior NZ Police, Justice, PSC and business representatives. Canapes and refreshments provided.
