Senate Bill Targets Pentagon After Failed Internal Audits

A bipartisan group of senators has introduced the Audit the Pentagon Act of 2021, which calls for all offices of the Defense Department, including military branches, to pass an independent financial audit or face a 1% budget reduction. The Pentagon has undergone and failed three internal audits since 2017.
