In this role you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the company's control environment, internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. This involves setting up internal control framework, conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. You will get to lead business meetings, engage in discussions with the management team and conduct audits independently, along with semi-regular travelling to Australia.
What will you be doing?
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a reliable internal control framework to support compliance and efficiency.
- Contribute to the annual internal audit plan, including setting objectives and designing procedures.
- Conduct audits from planning to reporting, delivering clear, actionable insights.
- Review audit findings with management to ensure risk areas were understood and addressed.
- Support the Internal Audit Manager in overseeing high-risk policies across office and store operations.
- Develop a strong understanding of store operations to identify and manage key risk areas.
- Assist with projects and initiatives to enhance audit processes and risk management efforts.
What do we need from you?
- Familiarity with audit methodology and internal control framework, e.g. COSO.
- Accounting firm working experiences are a plus.
- 5+ years of professional experience within sizeable, complex corporate environments,
- Bachelor's degree in business or finance.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and interested to learn other software applications. Skilled at deriving insights from data.
- The ability to travel nationally and internationally as required. (10-15%)
- Excellent communication skills coupled with great people skills.
- Team player who can interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Being self-motivated, detail-oriented and committed to the goals of the company.
