IIA NZ Session:

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Lunch n Learn event featuring Hugh Devereux-Mack from CERT NZ as our esteemed guest speaker. Hugh will be discussing the "10 Critical Controls CERT NZ Recommends for Businesses" and will provide valuable insights into the resources available to enhance cybersecurity measures.

Hugh Devereux-Mack is a Senior Advisor with CERT NZ, the government agency created to help increase New Zealand's cyber resilience. With more than 10 years' experience in the private sector, he uses this experience to help both businesses and individuals understand the cyber security environment they operate within. CERT NZ works to support businesses, organisations and individuals who are affected (or may be affected) by cyber security incidents. They provide trusted and authoritative information and advice, while also collating a profile of the threat landscape in New Zealand. CERT NZ is a key component of New Zealand's Cyber Security Strategy, contributing to the delivery of the Strategy's vision of a confident and secure digital New Zealand.

In today's digital landscape, it is crucial for businesses to prioritise cybersecurity and protect their valuable assets from potential threats. CERT NZ, as New Zealand's national cybersecurity agency, plays a vital role in helping organisations navigate and mitigate these risks effectively.

During this Lunch n Learn session, Hugh will delve into the 10 critical controls that CERT NZ highly recommends for businesses. He will provide practical advice and strategies to implement these controls and share valuable insights on how to enhance your organisation's cybersecurity posture. Additionally, Hugh will discuss the various resources and support available from CERT NZ to assist businesses in their cybersecurity journey.

The Lunch n Learn event is a semi-informal format, allowing for a 20-minute presentation by Hugh followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session. We encourage active participation and engagement, as this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable insights and exchange knowledge with industry experts.

Please mark your calendar for this important event. We believe that Hugh's expertise and the topic of critical controls for businesses will provide valuable information and practical guidance for all attendees.
