As part of AMP’s Risk Team, the enterprise Risk Specialist role will support the, Risk Manager and the AMP business to embed the Enterprise-wide Risk Management (ERM) framework. A key objective will be to support and promote a “risk aware” culture and “risk aware decision-making”, ensuring that the business owns the risks it takes with accountability at the right levels of management within the organisation.
To be successful in this role you will hold the following skills and experience:
- Ability to implement, monitor and report on risk management and compliance frameworks, risks and incidents across multiple businesses in line with the organisation’s Board reporting and governance structures
- Ability to engage and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and management
- Strong organisational planning and implementation skills, and demonstrated ability to apply them in rapidly changing business environments
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry, relevant regulators (e.g. RBNZ, FMA, APRA), and current and proposed financial services regulatory and legislative requirements
- Demonstrated ability to think, plan and act strategically, and capacity for commercial oriented problem solving
- A proven track record in a risk management, compliance, internal / external audit or assurance role, with experience in financial services an advantage
