Welcome to the Institute of Internal Auditors New Zealand, the professional body for internal auditing
For this Data Intelligence Special Interest Group session, we have an online presentation from Sydney, Australia from Kyle Byrnes, Principal Advisor in Gartner's Audit Leadership Council in the APAC region.
Kyle will share recent research on tackling the twin challenges of audit departments today - data analytics and talent management - and will show how leading audit teams are adapting to become data-driven and to thrive in increasingly data-rich organisations.
This session focuses on sharing best practices for making audit planning data-first, using data specialist time better and unlocking data skills across the audit team.
During the session Kyle will share insights so that audit leaders will have a clear understanding of how to update the department's processes in response to a data-rich operating environment and better allocate data responsibilities across the audit team. Audit staff will also have a better understanding of how data will change the nature of audit work and its processes.
