Negotiation and Influencing

A one day interactive workshop

We all negotiate and influence daily in countless communications ranging from formal to very informal. This workshop provides practical tools to apply to any situation and gives you a far better opportunity to achieve successful outcomes, whatever your style.

The programme covers:

  • Understanding the process of negotiation and influencing
  • Fisher and Ury 'Getting to yes'
  • Knowing how you prefer to negotiate and influence
  • The Push and Pull of influence
  • Building your skills in negotiating in a wide range of situations
  • Reducing some of the challenges with negotiation
  • Negotiating without power

Presenter: Janine Gould - Director, Communicate Consultants

Janine is a founder and director of Communicate Consultants. She has over twenty-five years' training experience specialising in verbal communication skills, working with groups ranging from CEO's to raw recruits in both the private and public sectors. More recently Janine has worked internationally in the fields of Leadership and Influencing.

Janine is accredited to the DiSC Behavioural Style Inventory; certified in the frameworks of the Conflict Resolution Network of Australia and is a member of the Human Resources Institute and the NZATD. Janine is a member of the Institute of Directors and is a member of a prominent Leadership Development team.

Janine enjoys the challenge of working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. A popular presenter at IIA NZ Education Day 2019, she is dynamic and energetic.

Janine has a strong commitment to community affairs. She is a member of Zonta International and is involved in their commitment to enhancing the rights of women globally. Janine tested her team building skills by sailing from Wellington to Tonga. In her spare time she enjoys cycling and skiing, learning the ukulele, travelling and the vibrant arts in NZ.
