Project Governance and Assurance

Risk attached to projects is often high, with projects frequently having potential to significantly affect an organisation's activities and outcomes. Internal auditors need to make a contribution by providing assurance to help improve management of projects and the way project risk is handled. This can raise internal audit profile and status, and be seen as core to ensuring organisation success and reputation.

This training course covers the essence of project governance and assurance. It also covers procurement probity where a project may be subject to tender. The course is relevant to any project methodology and can be applied to ICT projects and other project types such as construction projects.

The course covers:

  • Project methodology
  • Procurement probity
  • Project governance
  • Project assurance
  • Project assurance reporting
  • Case study
