Project Quality Assurance Forum

February Public Meeting

Ensuring Security and Projects go hand-in-hand

Projects often implement solutions to address security issues. More often they change business processes and technologies, adding to an organisation's security complexity and challenges of keeping people and data safe.

How should PQA practitioners and project sponsors ensure that projects deliver secure solutions, build security into solution designs, prevent project changes from breaking existing security controls, without introducing new security holes and potentially crippling their organisation? These challenges are faced by small and large organisations, public and private.

Come to hear Tony Arnold, Head of Technology & Information Security Risk, at ANZ Bank NZ share insights into how the Bank keeps security at the forefront of their projects.

Tony will touch on some interesting ideas that may help you face the same challenge such as:

  • Cyber Security trends that every business owner, project sponsor and project team should be aware of
  • The disruptive impact Cyber Security is having on organisations and its people
  • How ANZ projects build security into the design, the development lifecycle and deployment
  • How ANZ management, project sponsors and other stakeholders obtain assurance that projects with deliver secure solutions and thus enhance ANZ's security position.

Tony Arnold specialises in the audit and risk field. He has been at ANZ since 2007 in a range of roles; Senior Project Risk Governance Manager, Senior Manager Wholesale Risk Governance, Senior Manager Technology Risk Governance, Head of Strategic Risk & Enablement, Head of Wealth Operational & Compliance Risk, and now Head of Technology and Information Security.
